ASEAN Tourism Ministers Commit To Further Collaboration Towards Making A Single ASEAN Destination In 2010Tourism ministers attending the ASEAN Tourism Ministers’ Meeting at the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2008 held in Bangkok in Bangkok agreed to the conclusion of the meeting to further their collaboration and vowed to work hard towards the region a single destination by 2010. H.E. Dr Suvit Yodmani, Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports revealed member countries would also hope to reach the aim of tourism personnel exchange with the region. ASEAN member countries also discussed tourism-related matters with some dialogue partners outside the region; namely, China, Japan and Korea joining the Seventh Meeting of ASEAN, China, Japan and Republic of Korean Tourism Ministers held on 22 January, 2008, to seek further cooperation between the region and respective countries. |
