Mr. S. Iswaran viewed connectivity as the key point for ASEAN tourism.

Dr. Suvit said talks about connectivity by land, sea and air have been in progress and ASEAN members will try their best to push for more concrete results in the near future.

Meanwhile, the intra-ASEAN open sky policy and the other polices the region tries to develop on a bilateral basis with any country as seen as key factors to invigorate and speed up the growth of ASEAN tourism.

With the open skies and the visa-free policies to be materialized, ASEAN will be able to enjoy tourism growth for as long as the region prefers.

ASEAN Tourism Forum 2009 will be held at Hanoi, Vietnam from 5 to 12 January 2009.
