PossibiCity Unveils FunPack - Teeming with Creativity, Innovation and Design

This year’s FunPack crystallizes the idea of possibilities in the NDP 2007 Show – PossibiCity. The FunPack, comes in six vibrant colours, has increased emphasis on the design, innovation and creativity, all in line with the theme, City of Possibilities. Designers from all walks of society have been involved to create a FunPack that is “By Singaporeans for Singaporeans”.

Said Chaiman, Executive National Day Parade (NDP) 2007 Colonel Teo Jing Siong: “This being the first NDP to be held at Marina Bay, and to highlight this year’s theme, City of Possibilities, we were looking at a different concept for this year’s FunPack. We wanted a trendy and interactive FunPack with novel and interactive items that would enhance this year’s show.”

The FunPack has two components – the ASSEMLY® Bag and the 28 items it hold, which falls into three main categories: interactive, sustenance and publications.

Interactive items allow the spectators to participate and immerse themselves in the celebrations.

1. LED Fan with messages such as , HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE and NDP @ MARINA BAY
2. Clappastar, which resembles a star, possesses both light and noise making capabilities, to help add to the atmosphere at the Marina Bay designed by Ms Siti Zubaidah Bte Raman and Ms Thiang Effie Nathania, Industrial Design Students from Nanyang Polytechnic.
3. LED Animal Visor is a 3- dimensional foam visor in the shape of an animal with LEDs attached.
4. White FunPack Strip for Design Competition organized by Design Singapore. The ASSEMBLY® Design Competition, which runs from 30 July until 15 September 2007, will give Singaporeans a chance to express their vision for the nation’s future. 5. FunPack is made of Three individual strips and two side panel with a strap. The strips come in six colours and are detachable, allowing people to interchange them, to create larger and colourful bags.
6. Face Tattoo, Batteries and Mini-flag Post

Sustenance items consist of snacks, drink and a poncho.

NEWwater, Yeo’s Asian Drink, Crazed Pipe, Salted Peanuts, Cream rolls/cakes, Twin-wrapped Caramelised Biscuits, Halls, Clorets, Wet Tissues, Tissue paper, Poncho, Inner bag and Plastic Bag.
