Celebrations in honour of Du Fu Cheng Huang 都府城隍公 and Da Er Ye Bo 大二爷伯

Guang Ze Zun Wang 广泽尊王 , arrived. This is the first time I have seen Guang Ze Zun Wang represented by a medium. But from what I learnt, the main deity, or at least one of the main deities of this temple is Guang Ze Zun Wang. He came to prepare the ground ready for the coffers - in the form of the "dragon jars" (similar to the earthen jars used to store salted eggs in the market in the old days, and maybe, still so, which we used to get or buy to use to store water in our bath room, one of the very important receptacle during the old water rationing days) - to be opened. As he walked around, mortifying himself with each of the weapons laid on the ground, each time, a dragon jar covered with a red cloth and with a "huat-kueh" (Fa-Gao) was placed. There were altogether 12 of such dragon jars.

After he has done the necessary preparations, he sat on the dragon chair to enjoy a little of the antics of a pair of the lions with one comical "clown". Wah, it's been a long time since the last time when I saw the lions with this botak (ball headed) clown. After a while, Guang Ze Zun Wang left.
