Thailand Exhibition 2009 Singapore

Since starting in 2007, this year’s Thailand Exhibition 2009 is aimed in developing not only new trade of buyer and supplier but also to forge new joint between Thai and Singapore companies to further develop products that can be perfectly meet the Singapore market.

Singapore and Thailand’s total export for the year 2008 has gotten unpresidented growth of 27.3%. This is due to the total trade value of USD 24,938.70 million in which USD 13,440.47 million is the total export from Thailand while USD 11,498.23 is the total import to Thailand.

Around the world, countries are facing a major financial crisis that has greatly affected various industries. Amidst the turmoil, there are some positive factors we need to consider. The weakened Thai Baht means that foreign buyers can now buy more quality products from Thailand for the same budget, and that’s an incentive for them to buy more products from Thailand.

Initiated and supported by the Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government, this year’s Thailand Exhibition with the theme “Thailand Diversity” will showcase the following product categories – automotive parts and accessories, toys, food and beverages, footwear, garments, textiles and fashion accessories, gifts and decorative items, health and beauty products, household and kitchenware, jewellery and stationery.

This exhibition provides great opportunities for businessmen, importers, traders and even for the decision makers, to interact personally with their counterparts from Thailand. Visitors will also get a chance to view exhibitors’ showcases of their unique and creative products. With Singapore’s current “Green” drive, many Thai exhibitors have brought in their showcase products that are created through organic sources and environmentally friendly method. Fashion industry companies can also look forward to meeting selected exclusive young designers that will showcase lastest fashion trends from Thailand.

In addition, this exhibition will also showcase 4 selected restaurants awarded Thailand’s “Thai Select”. Thai Select award are given to Thai restaurants worldwide by the Department of Export Promotion in recognition of the authentic Thai ambience and food. Visitors can taste their unique flavours at the Thai Select zone throughout the exhibition period.

With all the trade networking, shopping and delicious food, tired visitors can relax at the beer garden and enjoy nightly live performances on stage.

The five-day Thailand Exhibition, at the Royal Thai Embassy, will run from 26 – 30 March, from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm daily. The exhibition is open to both trade for business networking and visitors to browse the variety of unique products from Thailand.
