Heresies is an exhibition of four decades of groundbreaking work by one of the world's most innovative photographers, which will open simultaneously in 60 museums worldwide starting in October 2008, creating a new paradigm in museum exhibitions of photographs.

Renowned for his powerful and provocative photographs, Pedro Meyer combines contrasting photographic elements from disparate times and places with digital technologies. His works consistently test the limits of truth, fiction and reality. Meyer’s oft- expressed contention that all photographs – digitally manipulated or not – are equally “true” and “untrue” has been labelled “heretical” in the orthodox documentary photography community, hence the title.

Meyer’s personal innovations in the field of digital photography include creating the first CD-ROM to combine sound and images, creating the first digital prints ever made and in 1994, creating his renowned online photography forum, zonezero.com – the most-visited digital photography content site on the web.

Doubleness: Photography of Chang Chien-Chi (10 Oct 2008 – 4 Jan 2009)

Featuring 130 photographs, three videos and two video projections, Doubleness: Photography of Chang Chien-Chi puts together three of his most celebrated thematic works – The Chain, Double Happiness and China Town – for the very first time.

Chang’s intense and realistic images documents contemporary societal issues in Asia such as arranged marriages and immigrant culture. In doing so, the photographs reveal the complex relationships of love, connectedness and alienation and explores the contrasting themes of hope and darkness, restriction and freedom.

Chang Chien-Chi’s initial foray into photojournalism led to his 1995 nomination into the world famous photography co-op Magnum Photos, after which he became a full fledged contributor in 2001.

VOOM PORTRAITS Robert Wilson (30 Oct 2008 – 4 Jan 2009)

VOOM PORTRAITS is a selection of 22 video portraits from a specially conceptualised exhibition commissioned by the VOOM HD Network – a high-definition television network channel. VOOM approached Wilson in 2004 to come up with a project that would showcase the capabilities and possibilities of the new HD medium. VOOM PORTRAITS was the result – a clever integration of lighting, stunning colors, innovative music, minimal narrative and measured movement played out by superstars and animal subjects. The series of works has garnered critical acclaim since it began touring in 2007 and features celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Winona Ryder and Isabella Rosellini in high definition video portraits.

Best known for his work in theatre, art and design, visionary artist Robert Wilson has worked as a choreographer, performer, painter, sculptor, video artist and sound & lighting designer in his illustrious career spanning 40 years.
