Restaurant Week Singapore
For the first time,Restaurant Week, a unique and innovative gourmet event, will be held from 22 March to 28 March 2010 in Singapore, which is Asia’s first city to host this ground-breaking concept. Restaurant Week is held in conjunction with Official Sponsors: American Express, Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Cape Mentelle, Terrazas and Time Out.
Pioneered by DiningCity.com, a highly-regarded and sought after online restaurant guide targeting the fine dining and middle-market restaurant segment based in The Netherlands since 1998, Restaurant Week is an innovative and successful event which has become the culinary event in countries such as Austria, Belgium and USA. The launch of Restaurant Week is an exciting opportunity to amplify and establish Singapore’s position as the Food Capital of Asia.
The idea of the Restaurant Week originally came from New York, where it is a huge success and takes place several times a year. In Europe, Restaurant Week features middle to top level quality restaurants (including Michelin-star establishments) which will offer the public a premium three-course menu for a fixed price during an exclusive one week period. This concept will carry through in Singapore.
Limited seats for a special three-course meal at established / top local restaurants - such as Garibaldi, Bedrock Bar & Grill, The Cliff, Song of India, Fifty Three and One On The Bund - will be offered at an irresistible fixed price of S$35++ for a three-course dinner and S$25++ for a three-course lunch during the Singapore Restaurant Week from 22 to 28 March 2010.
*DiningCity Star Awarded restaurants may charge a fixed supplement of S$15 for lunch and S$ 20 for dinner. Singapore has a similar supplement-system as participating Michelin Star restaurants have in Europe.
All bookings can be made online from 23 February 2010 via www.restaurantweek.sg, a dedicated website with unique technology for online and real-time reservations. In Europe, people set their alarm clocks to be the first to reserve a Restaurant Week table in top restaurants!
