Taiwan superstar Jay Chou gave an SIS STAR PASS member the experience of a lifetime when he was photographed with her in front of his adoring fans after a press conference held at Raffles City Convention Centre on 22 December 2009. He was here to promote his latest movie, The Treasure Hunter with his beautiful co-star Chiling Lin and director Kevin Chu.

During the press conference, the 30-year-old singer-songwriter was presented with a Singapore Indoor Stadium STAR PASS Artiste of the Year 2008-2009 award by Ms. Denise Marsh, Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Indoor Stadium (SIS).

At the beginning of last year, SIS STAR PASS conducted a polling contest via its members. Out of 36 concerts held in SIS during 2008, Chou’s concert was voted as the best garnering a whopping 30% of the votes cast. Next in line was the Andy Lau Wonderful World Tour 2008 concert with 26% of the votes.

Due to his busy schedule, Chou was to take just two photographs that day. Weng YiQi, 20, had earlier been picked from the 30,000 STAR PASS members in a random draw to be photographed with the pop idol while members of his Singapore and Taiwan fan clubs were allocated the second photo opportunity.

SIS STAR PASS is a loyalty programme created by SIS three years ago to cater to demand for a VIP experience to complement the many premium events held at the venue. Members get exclusive access to a website at www.sisstarpass.com.sg and a Facebook group where they receive the latest news on concerts/promotions and take part in contests.

Though membership for SIS STAR PASS is free, past contest winners have bagged opportunities to play with basketball wizards Harlem Globetrotters, autographed posters from the Hong Kong Cantopop trio Grasshopper and Yoga Lin, CDs, concert tickets and Beyond meet-and-greet passes.

SIS STAR PASS members also pay less for tickets to selected concerts including a 10% discount for the upcoming SAM HUI 'CNY' CONCERT LIVE IN SINGAPORE! and a 20% discount for Simply Ballroom. There is even a priority queue for members when they attend concerts at the venue to clear the bag check faster and during certain concerts, they can chill out at the members-only STAR Lounge with complimentary finger food and discounted drinks. No other entertainment venue in the world has rewarded its patrons as much and SIS STAR PASS members will have even more to look forward to in 2010 with many exciting upcoming events already scheduled to be held at SIS this year.
