JJ World Tour 2009

Following the release of his 6th successive album, homegrown protégé JJ Lin will kick off his world tour next year at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

“JJ World Tour 2009” will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 28th March 2009, Saturday. JJ Lin, Singapore’s top male music export in recent years, is undoubtedly one of the most versatile pop music talents in the Chinese music scene. His ability to churn out catchy rhythms from ballads to upbeat pop and R&B tunes has seen him enjoying great success since he started out in 2003, both as a singer and a composer. His notable hits for other artistes include A*Mei’s “记得” (Remember), Cyndi Wang’s “当你” (When You), Twins’ “我很想爱他” (I Really Want To Love Him), Elva Hsiao’s “你是我心中的一句惊叹” (You Are What Excites My Heart), Fahrenheit & Hebe’s “只对你有感觉” (I Only Have Feelings For You) and more. Back home, not only was JJ Lin selected to perform the remix version of “Home”, theme song of the 2004 National Day Parade, he was also the tourist ambassador for Singapore Tourism Board, promoting Singapore to the other parts of Asia.

After the success of his debut “Just JJ World Tour” in 2006 which toured six cities, this sophomore effort “JJ World Tour 2009” promises to deliver yet another astounding performance. However, unlike the “Just JJ World Tour 2006” which had a futuristic theme with impressive visual effects, lightings and dance formation, “JJ World Tour 2009” will return to the basics and let JJ’s music take centre stage this time round!

Nonetheless, a trademark JJ concert will not be complete without him displaying his many musical talents and sleek dance moves. Prepare to be mesmerized as he belts out his chart-topping hits such as “豆浆油条” (Soy Milk and Dough Sticks), “编号89757” (No. 89757), “江南” (River South), “杀手” (The Killer), “一千年以后” (A Thousand Years Later), “只对你说” (Only Told You), “木乃伊” (The Mummy), “曹操” (Cao Cao), “西界” (Westside) and brand new tracks from his latest album “Sixology”.  

The Singapore concert will be an especially memorable one for JJ as he turns 28 on the 27th of March 2009. His management company and record label, Ocean Butterflies Music, has promised a “surprise birthday gift”!
