The Singapore International Jewellery Show is into its fourth bedazzling year and is an excellent international extravaganza, showcasing the best in jewellery. It also reveals Singapore as the jewellery design hub of the Asia-Pacific, making the republic as the one-stop destination for the industry’s buyers and traders. The event will run from August 21 to 24, 2008.

The Singapore International Jewellery Show 2008, (SIJS) is highly regarded as the best platform to launch new collections and trendsetting designs. Glitterati is provided by precious gemstones, intricately designed jewellery pieces, dazzling designs and a Singapore-inspired series of jewellery conceived in honour of Singapore’s 43nd anniversary by Singapore’s leading jewellers.

1-01.jpg Showing off are internationally renowned jewellers, which form a major contingent of exhibitors. In attendance are design houses and jewelers from all over the world as well as partner country Sri Lanka, which is home to some of the world’s most precious gemstones.

The show will transform the Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre into a sea of glittery elegance with an amazing array of fine jewellery, watches, gems and accessories.

Dedicated to design and creativity, the show organizers have added a new element for visitors to enjoy and feast their eyes on. This year the show will feature acclaimed Parisian artist, Thomas Diego Armonia. His distinctive style lies in his penchant for painting only women and their adorable ample faces, every one chic and bejeweled. Visitors to the show will see specially commissioned series of beautiful black and white figurative oil paintings embellished with gold. This series makes its South East Asian debut at the show.

The show will also unveil the specially commissioned works by Thomas Diego Armonia for Signature Partners, leading local jewellers, Goldheart and On Cheong. The unique custom-created gold embellished oil paintings will feature Armonia’s portraits with jewellery designs that are distinctive to the respective Signature Partners' corporate style and brand identity.

The show is organised by Conference and Exhibitions Management Services (CEMS) and co-organised by Singapore International Jewellers (SIJ). It is co-hosted by the Singapore Jewellers Association, the Diamond Exchange of Singapore, and the World Gold Council and is also supported by the Singapore Tourism Board and Spring Singapore.
