Nivrel (Since 1936), a small watch factory was founded by the Marvin Company located in the Suisse Jura region. In the olden days, Nivrel generally produced chronographs. Since the brand was taken over in 1993 and restarted in Saarbrücken Germany, the focus of Nivrel watches has been with mechanical watches with very fine movements in stainless steel, gold and combination cases.

In the beginning of twenty-first century, Nivrel is given the opportunity and the exclusivity to produce the 5 minutes repeater which sparked the interest of many watch collectors. The skeleton version of the repeater allows for an incredible view of the wheels, springs and hammers as they operate.

The highest objective of Nivrel is the uniting of the finest techniques with a discreet design to satisfying prices. This maxim has the actual arrangements of the movements, the present spirit of the time and the optimizing of the service. Nivrel occupies itself with the newest demands and offers of the modern technology and uses ideas in the fabrication and the advanced development of movements and cases.

Nivrel’s collections range from the full calendar with moon phase, the 5 Minutes-Repetitions, the Tourbillons to the perpetual calendar. With different modifications, Nivrel watches include indications for a second time zone, 52 week calendar, and large dates. The collection also includes one of the flattest automatic movements with sweep second and date functions. The automatic alarm and the various chronographs with additional functions leave only a few desires. The assembly of the Nivrel watches is only completed in Germany.

The design of the Nivrel line has been conceived by the ideas of Gerd Hofer, CEO of Nivrel. His experience for many years with the productions of other watch brands has given him the love for the details of the Nivrel watches. As well, the dials and the cases are fabricated from excellent manufacturers in Germany. Therefore the exact realization of the design ideas has received the highest commitment. All movements (ETA, Lemania, Felsa and A.Schild) used by Nivrel have been or are produced in Switzerland.

THE MOVEMENT: automatic ETA 2892-A2 with reserved 5-minute-repeater-modul, fine finishing. The rotor is skeletonized and hand graved. Each watch has a personal number.

FUNCTIONS: indication of hours and minutes. Hear the hours by one strike and the 5-minutes-intervals by a double strike when one uses the repeating pusher.

CASE: steel 316 L, domed sapphire crystal, screwed-on back with sapphire crystal, water-resistant to 5 Bar.
