REDSEA GALLERY presents a solo exhibition of works by renowned French sculptor, Val
As one of Singapore’s leading art galleries, REDSEA GALLERY is pleased to announce the exhibition of French sculptor, Val, opening 18th September 2010. As the exclusive representative of Val’s works in Singapore, REDSEA will be featuring a collection of more than thirty sculptures, ranging in size from 10 centimetres to two metres. This is the first time that life-size sculptures from Val will be featured anywhere in the world.
There are two elements that define Val’s works; the figure and the stage.

Chan Hampe Galleries will be launching their gallery this August and their first exhibition will feature Singaporean artist, Kumari Nahappan, including her iconic chilli sculptures. Kumari’s works are not unfamiliar amongst art lovers with her signature monumental public art sculptures, namely the giant bronze chilli-pepper, Pedas Pedas that was commissioned and installed at the National Museum of Singapore.
Their first exhibition is a presentation of Kumari Nahappan’s sculptural works and paintings from the last 20 years.

tcc presents KHRŌMA: Hues of the Subconscious Mind by Jeremy Ramsey
tcc is pleased to present KHRŌMA: Hues of The Subconscious Mind, a solo exhibition by Jeremy Ramsey, a British born Singaporean artist who has lived in Singapore since 1956. A collection of his still-life, abstract and landscape paintings from a period covering about 15 years will be on display at the tcc ‘The Gallery’ from 6 July to 30 September 2010.
Jeremy Ramsey is principally known for his colour filled paintings that reflect strong modernist art elements.
An International Conference: "Ramayana: Retelling, Representation and Reinterpretation in Asia"
An international Ramayana conference “Ramayana: Retelling, Representation and Reinterpretation in Asia” will take place over a weekend on 17-18 July 2010, organised by the Asian Civilisations Museum, Singapore. There will be around 16 scholars of international repute from the USA, UK, Canada, India, Malysia, Indonesia and Singapore presenting their latest research. The conference will focus on the diversity of the Rama story in Asia.

The National Museum of Singapore presents Singapore 1960, an exhibition that looks into a vibrant and hopeful year that held great significance in uniting and shaping the people of Singapore during a time of change. Singapore Dance Theatre presents MASTERPIECE IN MOTION
Singapore Dance Theatre (SDT) will be kicking off their contemporary season with MASTERPIECE IN MOTION, a collection of ballets by renowned choreographers George Balanchine, David Dawson as well as Adrian Burnett.
Serenade by George Balanchine was the first ballet he choreographed upon arriving in the United States and was premiered by the School of American Ballet in 1934, set to Tchaikovsky. It is now a staple within the repertoire of many ballet companies around the world.
Also being showcased during MASTERPIECE IN MOTION will be A Million Kisses To My Skin by David Dawson.
