CHINGAY & ITS ALL NIGHT PARTY
- A huge difference in 2008
The explosive and colourful Chingay Parade of DreamS (妆艺大游行-奇思梦想) in 2008 will make a huge difference for all Singaporeans and visitors of Singapore!
Gigantic floats, sequined costumes and high-energy dance performances; the psychedelic sights and sound of Chingay Parade of DreamS will send you into a party mode in Asia’s grandest street and float parade. Party the night away under open sky, against the backdrop of City Hall, at the first-ever -post-Chingay all-night party after the official parade on 16 Feb.
- New and longer parade route, starting from the City Hall and ending at Raffles Avenue
- First-ever All Night Party at City Hall till early morning in the entire history of Singapore – an all night long post-Chingay Parade Party which will be the national street party offered jointly by the PA Youth Movement (PAYM) and St James Power Station, supported by Tiger Beer.
- A People’s Association Romantic Search to be launched by the PA for five couples, one per Community Development Council District, to get married and celebrate their wedding at Chingay 2008.
- Thirty six sleek Ferrari sports cars with members of Ferrari Owners Club ushering in the grand Chingay Lead Float with President S R Nathan onboard.
- Six organisations of diverse backgrounds will each present self-designed, huge, creative and artistic human-powered structure. They will each arrange for 100 to 300 of their members to push, pull or carry the structures along the 1.5 km parade route, displaying strength, vibrancy and the spirit of oneness. This will be the first and largest display of human-powered structures at Chingay.

To PA, Chingay is an excellent event and platform to bring people of different races and social backgrounds together to interact and form friendships. It is also one of the biggest national events involving a wide range of organisations and many volunteers each year.
Come and join in the fun for a truly Uniquely Singapore experience.
