Francis Cheong, sets the runway ablaze once again with his signature flamboyance and flair for feminine grace. Presented by Cappa Roma, Francis’ meticulous creations have been seen on celebrities such as Maggie Cheung and Sandy Lam, while Fann Wong and Korean heartthrob Jang Hyuk will soon be seen wearing his grand finale costumes in the movie “Dance of the Dragon ”. This show “In the Beginning…”, a bold attempt to revisit the creation story of perfectly healthy and beautiful humans formed in the likeness of a divine being in the Garden of Eden. In line with this, the first ten designs on the runway to launch this collection was modeled by prominent ladies from Singapore’s high society; followed by models and even a journalist friend, all of whom are volunteers passionate about his works of art. Beside, parading his creations as a tribute to his talent in fashion design and also in celebration for his birthday! Injecting elements of freshness and vibrancy from the global spring floral trend, Francis has added a touch of class to his designs using Eden’s very own fauna. At the same time, he has adapted from CappaRoma’s packaging colours with the basic black numbers - stark and striking; then transit into the warm pinks and finally the cool blues - culminating to a mesh of highly-contrasted shades, shapes and seductive bodies. “We have very high regard for Francis’ taste in fashion and are confident that this partnership will not only inspire young women everywhere to look good but also make wise choices to stay healthy,” says Ms Cassandra Ong, VP of Marketing for Viz Branz Limited.
