Lightness triumphs over gravity
The horseshoe symbol is the trademark and lucky charm for the Aigner label. It ensures that a horse can run with light, elegant strides, despite its bodyweight. This lightness serves as the inspiration for the Collection Autumn/Winter 2007/08, bringing the Aigner heritage into the present.
To consciously confront light and heavy, blunt and glittering, soft and hard is an important element. The collection is characterized by a natural look, a new kind of minimalism, clarity, straightforwardness and honesty, sophisticated materials and clever cut techniques.

Materials
Materials play with the contrast between a heavy look and a finish that is light as a feather: doubleface made from soft wool crepe has a finish that is light as silk. Silk satin is mixed with a small part of lycra and thus becomes even more comforting and smooth. Silk chiffon makes big, graphic panneaux prints seem feminine and airy. The traditional canvas receives a shiny, leather-like surface with the “cracknyl-laqué” finish. Nappa leather and beaver fur shimmer with pigment dyes to convey the impression of having been sprayed with glittering metal dust.

Colours
The colours are also integrated into this concept by combining warm shades of Brown with Bois de Rosé and Copper. Aigner’s typical “Chianti” Red is accentuated by a touch of Purple and Bougainville, while essential Black is joined by Silver.

Silhouette
The silhouette is significant: Slender, with emphasized hips and waist. Softly sloping shoulders, kimono and bat sleeves, truncated tippets, integrated pleats and plissés define the new volumes of the tops. Mini-short slender or flared skirts or very slim trousers are combined to them - they define a very feminine hourglass silhouette.

Accessories
The two new bags stand for the spirit of the collection. The season’s must have is the Etienne, a great combination of the traditional shapes of saddle and doctor's bag. The Florence bag is a modern interpretation of the saddle bag that also plays with contrasts: a soft body and firm frame.
Boots and sandals have a strong, straight heel with a small plateau and soft, feminine pleats. Wide belts emphasize the waist and let the wearer appear especially feminine.

Music
The music is defined by Cat Stevens’ “Morning has broken” which expresses the light spirit of the collection in a wonderful way, like a sunrise on a clear winter day. Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy" interpreted by Kraftwerk was chosen because it is a skilful combination of classical music and contemporary spirit and the great voice of Chinese singer Wang Faye was selected as it creates a fascinating contrast between power and lightness.

Today, the Aigner label is represented in 135 franchise shops and about 300 POS in 40 countries from Munich to Tokyo. The horseshoe is the lucky charm and logo of the international leather lifestyle brand.
