CENTRAL presents “The Impossible Journey” – South East Asia’s biggest & most amazing mega illusion at the iconic Singapore River

Be part of history as Central brings you a watershed mega illusion event on 24 Sep 7.30pm performed by Singaporean premier illusionists J C Sum and ‘Magic Babe’ Ning! This has never been attempted anywhere else in the world but you will be able to see it right here at Central! This is going to be one of the most epic, ambitious and stunning magical performance which is expected to be witnessed by some 5,000 people from both sides of the river!

Performed by Singapore’s popular premier illusionists J C Sum & ‘Magic Babe’ Ning, they will be taking 3 lucky Central shoppers on an “impossible journey” of their lives and magically teleporting them across the Singapore River! – all in the span of 2.5 seconds!

“’The Impossible Journey’ poses unprecedented challenges in 3 ways: it is taking place over a body of water, conducted in an uncontrolled environment, and non-professional “real” people will be involved in the crux of the act. Such daunting conditions put any magicians’ mettle, experience and expertise to the ultimate test! The 3 lucky Central shoppers who are teleported, however, would simply experience an adrenaline rush like no other…. and live to have their name in the history of our Singapore River where this monumental mega illusion took place”, J C Sum shared.

The Singapore River Festival is envisioned as the signature event for one of Singapore’s key tourism precincts – the Singapore River. Celebrating three key elements of the iconic landmark: water, heritage and entertainment, the inaugural Singapore River Festival will be held in September this year as a key highlight of the Singapore GP Season. The Festival will offer a myriad of quality entertainment events including Clarke Quay’s River Party featuring concerts on the river with international and local artistes, a spectacular bumboat parade and dance drama “Legenda Singapura” by Singapore River Cruises at the UOB Promenade, Singapore River’s first ever mega illusion event “The Impossible Journey” by J C Sum and ‘Magic Babe’ Ning at Central, the 10-day Timbre MusicFest at Empress Place, historical pub walks by Journeys and outdoor parties among others. The Singapore River Festival will span two weekends leading up to the race, from 19 to 28 September.
