SITEX 2007 promises the best bargains on the latest IT products

Highly anticipated IT event will showcase the latest digital products, online services and new game releases from more than 500 exhibitors.

SITEX, the premier launch pad for the latest consumer IT technologies, is giving IT fans and shoppers plenty of reasons to smile this year. Visitors will have the opportunity to preview and purchase the latest IT products and services at special prices before they hit the stores this holiday season.

Featuring industry giants such as Microsoft, Apple, Acer, Sony, Nokia, NEC, Dell, Lenovo, Harvey Norman, LG, Pioneer, Fujitsu, and Toshiba, SITEX 2007 is also introducing new segments to the lineup that has made it such a hit with visitors over the years.

Said Ms Rosalynn Chua, Deputy General Manager of Singex Exhibitions, “This year, we have introduced the Automobile Electronics, IT Education, IT for Kids and Smart Home segments to provide more lifestyle options to our consumers. Technology is changing the face of entertainment and through the 13 themed segments at the show, we want to show how SITEX is not just another IT event but one with a difference – showcasing the eclectic mix of digital media technologies for the automobile, home and office environment.”

The nine other segments at SITEX 2007 include New Technology, Business IT, Animation, Camera & Camcorder, Computer & Hardware, Gaming, Home Entertainment, Mobile Communications and MP3/MP4.

Key Highlights

You Bring IT, We Ca$h IT – Visitors can trade in their used IT gadgets for instant cash at the Cash Converter booth. Items should be in good, working condition.

Recycle IT for charity – Visitors can deposit items that do not meet Cash Converter’s requirements in the bins provided by Cleaning Solutions. All proceeds will go to the Society of the Physically Handicapped (SPD).

Lucky Draw – Visitors stand a chance to win a 50-inch Pioneer Plasma TV set, Pioneer Home Entertainment System and Xbox-360 set for every $100 spent at the show.

Automobile Electronics –Touted as one of the most exciting features of SITEX 2007, the Automobile Electronics segment offers visitors a first-hand look at the intelligent car of the future. With an impressive lineup featuring brand leaders such as Hanman, Smart-I, Nextbase, Tibo and MapKing, visitors can discover the latest trends and developments in the automobile market. The segment also boasts a wide-ranging menu of auto electronics including audio & video accessories, GPS & navigation systems, handheld information devices, car lighting & security equipment, sensors & micro controllers and in-car entertainment.

IT Education – Visitors looking to develop or upgrade their IT skills can check out the IT training courses offered by Netassist and New Horizon.

IT for Kids – Parents keen on giving their children a head start on the new school year will not want to miss this segment. Exhibitors Hanvision, ST Music World and iknow will be showcasing the most up-to-date digital e-learning tools as well as a whole series of educational audiovisual materials designed to stimulate children’s imaginations.

Smart Home – From multi-room entertainment systems to state-of-the-art security solutions, the Smart Home segment, hosting distributors and brands such as Hanman and Samsung, is the one-stop place for the latest in home IT products and services.

Business IT – The Business IT segment at SITEX is a dedicated segment aimed squarely at home offices, SMEs and MNCs seeking cutting-edge infocomm products and services to improve their business strengths. Watch out for players offering computer hardware, accounting and business software, office telecommunications equipment, web hosting services and networking solutions.

Ladies Go Tech! – Proving that IT’s not just a man’s world, exhibitors are wooing the ladies at SITEX 2007 with style. For the first time, the first 50 ladies to present a single receipt showing a minimum purchase of $200 at the Show Management Office will walk away with a mystery gift. The Organizer will be giving away 50 gift sets each day. Redemption is on a first-come-first-served basis and is limited to one gift per customer.

Rising Visitorship

From a humble turnout of 143,000 visitors in 2000, SITEX has grown in popularity and appeal, attracting 680,000 visitors over four days last year. SITEX is a proven platform that provides access to key demographics such as tech enthusiasts, gamers, PMEBs, families and the M-generation.
