Other Major Highlights
- Official Beauty Partner, L'Oreal, will showcase the Japanese
artistry of Shu Uemura and present a high octane Redken
Urban Experiment show that is not to be missed.
- River Island (from UK) rocks the runway
in its first ever international runway show. One of the most successful stories
of British fashion retail, it opened its doors recently in Singapore. The show
will present highlight pieces from the latest Spring/Summer 2007 men's and
women's collections.
- UK fashion leader TopShop presents TopShop Unique (a favourite
of Sienna Miller and Kate Moss) and the Topman design show.
- Following a successful showing in 2006, Singapore retail powerhouse Robinsons will
present a selection of more than 15 designers that will include global womenswear
and menswear favourites such as Coast, Trucco, Jessica and Hemmel together
with local leading brands such as Nicholas, Womb and Tian.
- UK giant Marks & Spencer is another not-to-be-missed
show.
- Tangs celebrates 75 years in business. The birthday celebrations
kick off with three shows at The Tent on 25 March. Streetwear and private labels
to be featured and which fall under the ‘Playlab' banner include Square, True
Religion and Toki Doki, the ‘Wardrobe' collection
highlighting pieces from Martina Pink and Moonstone, and
also Tang's family favourite ‘Island Shop'.
- Cult label and denim icon Levi's presents the new copper
bound jean.
- Not only will Triumph be presenting one of its most sophisticated
collections to date, but guests also have the opportunity to see ‘The
Celebrity Bra' made from Swarovski crystals, which
is rumoured to be worth more than SGD$60,000.
- More key shows will be announced in the exciting month leading up to the
Festival
Celebrating The Dress
- This year Singapore Fashion Festival celebrates `the dress' – paying tribute
to the season's most internationally acclaimed catwalk favourite.
- In another
Singapore first, the world renowned Red Dress Campaign will
be launched during Singapore Fashion Festival 2007. The exhibition will
be held in the main foyer of the Wisma Atria from 23 March
to 1 April. Following on from the Campaign's success in New York, a selection
of the Festival's participants, including Vivienne Tam, alldressedup,
Francis Cheong, Jean Luc Amsler, Tangs, Baylene, TopShop, River Island, Matthew
Williamson and a selection from the Nokia L'Amour Show, Indian
designers show and TAFF show have each agreed
to donate a red dress which will be auctioned off with all proceeds going
to the Singapore
Heart Foundation.
The Fringe
The Fringe component of the Festival's official schedule encompasses a range
of fashion activity including exhibitions and runway shows with events confirmed
at Paragon, Wisma Atria, Raffles City,
Suntec City, Marina Bay and VivoCity.
Catch The Singapore Fashion Festival 2007 Action On Orchard Road
With limited seats in the central Tent venue, there will be a giant outdoor
screen along the Orchard Road pedestrian mall that will bring the Festival's
frenzy up close. Outside The Tent @ Ngee Ann City, a giant
screen will telecast daily shows day and night, adding to the buzz and excitement
of the Festival.

The Singapore Fashion Festival 2007 is presented by MasterCard
and is made possible by the Singapore Tourism Board. Singapore Fashion Festival
is one of the many Uniquely Singapore events by the Singapore Tourism Board.
It is the first regional consumer-focused fashion event where Autumn/Winter
collections are previewed and Spring/Summer collections are made directly
available from the catwalk to consumers. Since its inception in 2001, the
Singapore Fashion Festival has become one of Asia's key fashion events.
