INSPIRASIAN 2007 – The Gala EveningInspirAsian 2007 gala was held at the grand and cavernous Suntec Ballroom to celebrate the 20th Singapore Fashion Week 2007 and also to commemorate the 30th anniversary of AFTEX. The evening kicked off with the South African Dance Troup kindly sponsored by the South African High Commission and Designers Show featuring Stoned Cherrie by Nkhensani Nkosi and Malcolm Kluk. As the evening’s highlight and in collaboration with the Asia Fashion Federation meeting in Singapore, the collections of the crème de la crème of Asian fashion designers from LIANG ZI.TANDY of China, Masako Oka of Japan, Dou Ze of Korea and Daniel Yam of Singapore glided down the glossy runway. The gala event is graced by Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Trade & Industry and is organized by Textile & Fashion Federation Singapore (TaFf) and supported by IE Singapore and SPRING Singapore.
