Renée Fleming. Two-time Grammy Award wining soprano and “America’s Beautiful Voice”, will perform live with acclaimed pianist Hartmut Höll in Singapore for the first time ever at the Victoria Concert Hall. Ticket for her performances on 16 & 17 March are on sale now.

Described as “ the gold standard of soprano sound”, Renée Fleming will take audiences on a musical journey for two magical nights only with a programme featuring perennial favourites such as O Mio Babbino Caro, Vissi D’Arte and Rusalka’ Song to the Moon.

America’s reigning diva and multi-award wining recording artist, Renée has achieved superstar status from trademark combination of vocal beauty, technical dexterity, immense stylistic range and glamorous looks. Gramophone magazine has dubbed Renee’s voice as ‘sumptuous’, and legendary conductor Sir Georg Solti has said that ‘quite apart from the lyrical beauty of her voice, she has an innate musicianship which makes every performance a great joy.” Renée appears as a regular guest with the prestigious Metropolitan Opera, and this year she will perform with the Los Angeles Opera and the Zurich Opera, as well as some of Europe and North America’s best orchestras. In 2006, Renée performed at the Novel Prize and Nobel Peace Prize ceremonies in Stockholm and Oslo.

In addition to her musical activities, Renée has been an inspiration to the culinary, literary and fashion circles, with creations named after her including the ‘Renée Fleming Iris’ and master chef Daniel Boulud’s famous dessert ‘ La Diva Renée’. Renée was also the inspiration for the main character of Ann Patchett’s best-selling novel Be Canto. Couturiers Gianfranco Ferré, lssey Miyake, Vivienne Westwood and Oscar de La Renta have created gowns for her as well. In 2001, Renée was added to Mr. Blackwell’s best-dressed list.
