Often referred as “The Hong Kong Beatles”, Wynners (温拿) is one of the earliest superstar idol groups to have emerged from the Hong Kong Cantopop music scene in the early 1970s. Made up of five illustrious members, with Alan Tam (谭咏麟) on vocals, Kenny Bee (钟镇涛) and Bennett Pang (彭健新) on vocals and guitar, Danny Yip (叶智强) on bass guitar and Anthony Chan (陈友) on drums, the group have reunited on stage almost every five years to sold out crowds, celebrating their “10th Anniversary”, “15th Anniversary”, “20th Anniversary”, “25th Anniversary”. Most recently, they held 13 full house shows at the Hong Kong Coliseum in February 2007, over the Chinese New Year period, with “Wynners Concert 2008”, which marks their 33rd year as a band. In a press conference held late last year to promote the same concert in Malaysia, Tam said, "It is so rare these days to have a long-living band like the Wynners that has witnessed the evolvement of Canto-pop over the decades. Thirty-three signifies the era of the vinyl records – and how music changed from the 1970s to today. So our concert will include the songs of those eras as well as ours," said Tam. "Besides singing the familiar music of the Wynners, there will also be segments for solo performances," added Bee.
Be entertained by this group known for their infectious energy and camaraderie, as they present their many hits such as “L-O-V-E Love”, “Sha La La La”, “Zhui Gan Pao Tiao Peng” (追赶跑跳碰), “Qian Zai Bu Bian” (千载不变), “Wan Xia La” (玩吓啦), “Zhe Shou Ge” (这首歌), “Da Jia Le” (大家乐), “Qi Xin Jiu Shi Cheng” (齐心就事成) and more, in this one night only performance! *Information for the above was taken from:
