Stars from the Glorious 60s returns with “Ling Bo & Hu Jin in Concert 2008”
1960s movie queen Ivy Ling Bo (凌波) and Hu Jin (胡锦), together with Taiwanese artiste Xie Lei (谢雷), will perform at the Max Pavilion @ Singapore Expo on 7 March 2008, Friday, 7:30pm.
 Tickets for the “Ling Bo & Hu Jin in Concert 2008” (凌波 胡锦 风华再现 演唱会) are priced at $148, $128, $98, $68 (excluding SISTIC fee) and will be available via SISTIC hotline 6348 5555 or www.unusual.com.sg from 16 November 2007 onwards.
Renowned for their portrayal of “Liang Shan Bo” (梁山伯) and “Zhu Ying Tai” (祝英台) in the musical “The Butterfly Lovers” - a stage version of the famous huang mei diao movie, “Love Eterne”, starring Ling Bo, these two grand dames were warmly welcomed when they came by recently to help raise funds for a TV Charity event, prompting many calls for a concert.
Heeding the cries, Ling Bo and Hu Jin will come together once again next March to perform excerpts from the classic musical “The Butterfly Lovers” as well as serenade with other golden oldies. Accompanying them would be their special guest, Xie Lei, who is well-known for his tracks such as “Duo Shao Rou Qing Duo Shao Lei” (多少柔情多少泪), “Ku Jiu Man Bei” (苦酒满杯), “Fu Xin De Ren” (负心的人).
“Ling Bo & Hu Jin in Concert 2008” promises to be a magnificent mix of golden oldies and huang mei diao, set to delight those familiar with the Glorious 60s.
