Jeff Chang collaborates with the Symphony Orchestra

Taiwan’s Prince of Love Ballads, Jeff Chang, is back to serenade one and all with his pristine vocals and well-loved hits, but this time, backed by a symphony orchestra.

Accompanied for the first time ever in Singapore by our very own Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Orchestra, the one night only “Jeff Chang & Symphony Orchestra” will be held at the Max Pavilion @ Singapore Expo on 15 March 2008, Saturday at 7:30pm. “Jeff Chang & Symphony Orchestra” is a series of successful performances that have toured Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong previously, where the artiste collaborates with the local symphony orchestra to present his many hits.

The concept for such a performance was, in a way, one could say, a natural progression for this talented singer, well-versed in many musical instruments. “I was invited to be the guest performer for the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra a few years back and that opportunity planted this idea in me. I started learning to play the violin at the age of five, and was the main vocalist for the school choir throughout my primary and secondary school days. In my university days, I majored in opera and vocals. Therefore, being able to work with the symphony orchestra for my concert is actually a dream coming true.”

Jeff makes it a point to practice on the violin for, at least, an hour each day prior to his concerts. And come 15 March next year, backed by the 30 piece NAFA Symphony Orchestra, fans and concert goers will get to see the amazing transformation of his many well-loved hits such as “Don’t Tell Him” (不要对他说), “Forbearance” (宽容), “Faith” (信仰), “Love Like The Tide” (爱如潮水), “With Love” (用情), “Moonlight” (白月光), “Want to Love You” (太想爱你), “Be Your Man” (做你的男人) and more.

“Jeff Chang & Symphony Orchestra”, a brand new collaboration showcasing the artiste’s many memorable hits in a way never heard before, is sure to delight the senses!
