Grill on Devonshire first opened its doors in 1997 and has often been described as a picturesque gem of a restaurant and bar with a rustic-modern appeal located in the heart of town and yet away from the tumult of the city.

To celebrate our 7th year, we are pleased to announce the completion of a makeover that will elevate bar concept to novel heights. With a fresh new look, the addition of a swish sushi bar, a comprehensive drink list and a trimmed down menu, we dare you to loosen up and revel in the lively frivolity of taste.

Introducing Bar-Stop and Sushi Yoshida...

New Look

The overall look and design incorporates wooden panel "air walls", earthy hues, and white furnishings throughout to evoke the impression of a homey lounge. Think texture, color, cohesion and coziness. High ceiling panels give the restaurant a more intimate feel. Additionally, our signature brick walls have been buffed to accentuate old world charm.

With the addition of a sushi bar next-door, bright splashes of celery green revs up the cool factor and adds a rather surreal twist in the details. Nestled in its own little enclave surrounded by lots of greens, the redesign makes way for a larger alfresco dining area marrying modern architecture and landscape.

Sushi Yoshida
What was formerly the Bar on Devonshire is now Sushi Yoshida, a sushi bar where freshly made-on-premises sushi is served by master sushi chef Hideaki Yoshida and his team. Those who are new to the Japanese dining scene will be glad to know that Yoshida is a Tokyo native who specializes in the art of making sushi and sashimi having been in the business for more than twenty years. Previously located at Lucky Plaza, Yoshida has quite a faithful following amongst Japanese and locals alike, and has great plans for his new venture. He aims to concentrate on making the sushi dining experience as genuine and enjoyable as possible with a menu that is approachable and affordable, allowing diners to experiment a bit and discover new flavors and favorites!

Its not called Bar-Stop for nothing! A full bar with a comprehensive choice of imperial brews, lots of sparklies from strange lands and an array of wicked cocktail concoctions, we’re inviting you to have a bittersweet affair with us. With its modern open style, yet club-like warmth, a rather eclectic journey begins at the bar with a flute of Moet & Chandon champagne perhaps, followed by a sample of mouth-watering delights from our kitchen that includes: Assorted Seafood Platter, Tenderloin in Mushroom Sauce, Oxtail Stew and Lobster Ravioli… all at oh-so moderate prices.

Housed at 6 and 10 Devonshire Road, Bar-Stop and Sushi Yoshida are open daily.
