Balaclava has won the Bar of the Year. This award seeked to recognize a bar with the ability to provide an entertaining experience for its patrons. The nominee should be a popular estalishment that is creating a 'buzz' in Singapore and must have been in operation for at least 6 months (at the time of nomination).

Balaclava is a celebration of life's delicated subtleties. In the atmosphere of timeless elegance and modern vogue, the soothing sounds of some of the finest local musicians hit centre-stage each night, from the 60's and 70's to jazz & R&B, and not forgetting the contemporary tunes of today. With a heady list of beverages from new world wines to assorted brews from around the globe, complemented by a lip-smacking list of snacks, Balaclava is definitely the place to unwind after a long hard day at work.

Set to defy convention yet again with an ongoing quest to make Balaclava a better, more comfortable and cozier place to unwind, we unveil the Balaclava annex – a combination of textures - leather alongside silks and timber, arranged to great detail with ample spacing to house an additional full bar, an additional stage and a new selection of bar snacks (e.g. cheese platter, stuffed wings, prawn fritters) to new and existing clientele who are trendy and up-market with high purchasing power, aged 25 years and above.

With an identical concept to boot – warm color codes and sober design sets comprising black Le Corbusier sofas, low wooden tables and square lamp shades, complimented with high bar stools and bar stands to relay a masculine atmosphere that entices, the annex will enable Balaclava to better service the ever-increasing demand for exclusive events and parties for clients seeking a chic venue.

In this hidden find sheltered by lots of potted greens, we invite you to come savor the soothing sounds of some of the finest local musicians hitting centre-stage each night. Each artiste, a talent in his/her own right, each showcase, a musical rendezvous. What better way can there be to while the night away after a long, hard day’s work as live music fills the air 6 nights a week, offering everything from the 60's and 70's to jazz & R&B, and not forgetting the contemporary tunes of today.
