When Sleeping Becomes Illegal...
Taking a look at our daily lifestyle, drifting away into dreamland has taken
up almost 1/3 of our precious day. The luxury of being able to seek escapade
into a world of our dreams has always been an indulgence to many.
Imagine one day, when sleeping becomes unlawful, and you have to seek permission

Women Precede Men in the New Century...
Man -- the dominating gender through centuries. Diffuse the saturated scent
of hullabaloo over the existence, extent and significance of men and women.
"A woman is the mother of a new generation,
a man is the direction of that aspiration"

Masks are used to Portray Emotions...
"Behind a mask of emotions,
I can see the truth inside.
It's deeply hidden, kept secret."
A colorful façade of expressions reveals more than words can describe.

Film and Performing Arts Society
Established in 1998, Film and Performing Arts Society rapidly negotiates
its role in Singapore Institute of Management and has carved out an irreplaceable
niche among its peers. With a current base of about 300 members, the society
provides an arty platform for film and drama aficionados through a range
of workshops, seminars and performing opportunities to develop their craft
in a caring, nurturing, professional environment. The ensemble has constantly
redefined boundaries with its creative approach from filming to theatre-making,
and is dedicated to sharing the magic of filming and theatre with arts lovers
in the community.
Crafting another milestone in the history of Film and Performing Arts Society,
the up-coming theatre production, Blatant Claps, bundles contemporary relevance
to elements which promise to be fresh, dynamic and thought-provoking that
will engage the imagination of our audience.
"In order to understand our world, to effect change, to respond to issues
with compassion and integrity; our society must be able to see beyond the
limitations and inevitable biases of our own perspectives. We need to imagine
other possibilities. We need a larger vision. We need Art, because the vision
to see other possibilities is the gift art gives to society. And live performance
gives art a connecting energy parallel to none."
