The tour closes with a stunning display of 120 artefacts – symbolic of the Museum’s 120 years. The display will cut across the Museum’s concourse, where the old building meets the new. Highlights include a wooden magic staff (1911) and a Thai divination book (1925) that are sure to fascinate and intrigue.

To top it all off, visitors will be treated to a special showcase of live music at the end of the tour. Specially compiled and performed by acclaimed musicians Alex Abisheganaden and Rosita Ng, this meaningful selection is comprised of a variety of music genres reaching from as far back as the 18th Century right up to the present. These genres poignantly span – yes, you guessed it – 120 years.

120 is a production befitting of a grand dame’s birthday. It is also likely to change your mind about stuffy museums and hard-to-pronounce names like Farquhar and Pickering who thankfully share a simple enough first name. 120 will be showing on 13 Oct, 8pm and 14 Oct 2007, 3pm and 8pm. Tickets are priced at S$28.
