International Museum Day 2006 is an inspiring feast for the senses with over 25 exciting events, exhibitions and tours! Celebrated by over 20 museums, Museums and Young People promises a fortnight of inspiring fun for youths and the young at heart. At the Singapore Philatelic Museum, you will be greeted with the sights and sounds of the multi-cultural heritage of Singapore: history, culture, multimedia gadgets, rare philatelic gems and postal objects or sheer beautify of stamps.

Singapore Philatelic Museum opened on 19 August 1995 to promote interest and the appreciation of Singapore’s history and heritage in philately. Besides the permanent galleries, the theme galleries offer a host of changing exhibitions throughout the year. These include displays from the private collections of renowned philatelists, traveling exhibitions from overseas and themed exhibitions to commemorate new stamp issues.
