In addition, for the first time, ARTSingapore will have a special Australian Pavilion, featuring contemporary Australian art. Working with the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), galleries from across Australia will converge in Singapore to highlight the works of many artists. One artist in particular, will take centre stage: Glass artist ‘pioneer’ of Australia, Gerry King. A special exhibition, 30 Years of Glass – Gerry King, showcases King’s mastery of technique and refined ideas. This visually-stunning exhibition also reflects Australia’s development of contemporary glass, which King’s career parallels.

Apart from Australia, galleries from Korea, China, Philippines, Japan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan are just some of the countries represented in ARTSingapore 2006 as well. Not to mention the over 30 art galleries from Singapore.

To add further to the depth of the art fair, art-related talks, by industry experts will be organised, offering more opportunities for art aficionados to interact and network with each other.

ARTSingapore is part of a lavish line-up of exclusive events offered under ‘A Luxe Affair’ (visitsingapore.com/aluxeaffair), Singapore’s premium lifestyle season this September and October.
